On the evening of July 5, Princess Anne meets 70 Chinese and British students and scholars at a cocktail organized by the British Consulate General in Wuhan.

On the evening of July 5, Britain's Princess Anne arrived in Wuhan, capital city of central China's Hubei Province, for a friendly visit.

Aged 67, Princess Anne is the only daughter of Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh. This is her first visit to Hubei Province.

According to schedule, Princess Anne will visit the Wuhan Institute of Hydrobiology on July 6, with the aim of strengthening cooperation between the Institute and Zoological Society of University College London in protecting porpoises.

She will also visit the Wuhan Business University to promote exchanges between the Britain and Hubei institutions in the field of equestrian training.

Princess Anne's visit shows that Britain is attaching great importance to Hubei, said Nick Whittingham, the British Consul General in Wuhan.

At present, Hubei and Britain have already cooperated in higher education, elementary education, sports education and vocational training.
