UK Science Season in Wuhan launched

The launching ceremony of the UK Science Season in Wuhan is held at the Wuhan Science and Technology Museum, on August 27, 2017. 

On August 27, the UK Science Season in Wuhan was launched at Wuhan Science and Technology Museum, with attendance of Konstantin Novoselov, a Nobel Prize winner for physics invited by the British Consulate General in Wuhan.

The UK Science Season in Wuhan, which will last until February of 2018, includes more than ten events, such as the forum on science and innovation, roundtable meeting, and Newton Fund exchanges, relating to renewable electricity generation, smart city, low-carbon manufacturing and climate change. It aims to push forward the bilateral cooperation between the UK and Hubei as well as generate the public’s imagination and creativity.

Konstantin Novoselov got Nobel Prize for Physics in 2010. during this visit, he will further the communication and understanding with Wuhan universities and hi-tech enterprises, so as to enable the cooperation between the UK and Hubei in education and scientific research.
