Hubei intangible heritages to be displayed during G20 Summit in Germany

Themed with “stories on the intangible heritages along Yangtze River”, the exhibition will introduce the province’s intangible projects with ten stories, using figures or allusions familiar to the Europeans.

The projects, selected from the list of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in China, include the Dragon Boat Festival, Peking Opera, Paper Cutting, Shadow Play and the famous people like Qu Yuan, Lu Yu, Bi Sheng and Li Shizhen who made great contributions to the cultural development of China and even the whole human society.

The exhibition will be organized in the main ways of on-site interaction between visitors and inheritors, images and description, as well as material object demonstration, supplemented with picture albums and folding.

The exhibition is scheduled from July 4 to 8 in Berlin. At present, the Wudang martial art, dance on Silk Road and operas have been slated for the opening ceremony.
