45th Wuhan Yangtze River Crossing Festival kicks off
The 45th Wuhan Yangtze River Crossing Festival kicked off on July 16,2019.
Chinese swimmers Zhang Ziyang (left) and Niu Xiaoxiao (right) won the first place in men's and women's group.
The 45th Wuhan Yangtze River Crossing Festival was held on July 16 in Wuhan, capital of central China’s Hubei Province.
53 swimmers from 15 countries took part in the individual crossing race. Chinese swimmers Zhang Ziyang from the Hubei Swimming Team and Niu Xiaoxiao from the China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) won the first place in men’s and women’s group, respectively.
They started from Hanyang Gate in Wuchang District, heading for Nan’anzui in Hanyang District, with a whole length of 1800 meters.
2,470 people from around the country participated in the collective afloat swimming in 35 formations, departing from Hanyang Gate for Sanyang Square in Hankow District.（hubei.gov.cn by Zhang Yawei）
