Experts from world’s top universities spotlight materials science in Wuhan

 The first World University Forum on Materials Science and Engineering Leadership opened in Wuhan, capital city of central China’s Hubei Province, on October 10.

Over 100 experts and scholars from 15 countries, gathered together to discuss the topic of sustainable development of materials science and engineering in the 21st century. 10 Chinese and foreign academicians, including the winner of the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 2016 James Fraser Stoddart, attended the forum.
This is another large-scale international forum in the field of materials science held in Wuhan after the one in late September. As the organizer, Wuhan University of Technology said the forum aims to provide an exchange platform for talents from world’s top universities in the field of materials.
At the forum, the guests carried out exchanges and discussions from the perspectives of materials science and engineering, education reform and personnel training, as welll as painted blueprints for the development of global materials science and engineering discipline. (hubei.gov.cn by Ruan Xinqi)
