Exit and entry trips cross 3 million mark at Wuhan Tianhe Airport
By November 18, the trips made by passengers entering or leaving China through Wuhan Tianhe International Airport had crossed the mark of 3 million, up 14 percent year on year, local media said.
It surpassed the number of 2.92 million for the whole year of 2018, setting a new record high.
At the meanwhile, the inbound and outbound flights operated in the airport outnumbered 18,000, a year-on-year increase of 12 percent.
In January-October this year, more than 421,000 international passengers made transit at the airport, up 101.2 percent, and a total of 25,300 foreigners visited Wuhan under the 72-hour or 144-hour visa-free transit policies this year, the Wuhan border inspection station said.
Wuhan now boasts 63 international air-passenger services, connecting 31 cities in 23 countries and regions and covering five continents. (hubei.gov.cn by Ruan Xinqi)
